Corporate Video Production London Generation C & Octopus Energy Case Study

Capturing the scale of the event required a combination of ground-level cinematography and aerial drone videography. The drone footage provided a unique perspective of the activities while helping showcase the size and impact of the programme in a way that would not have been possible using traditional camera coverage alone.
Alongside video production, I also provided professional photography throughout the day, creating a comprehensive library of images suitable for websites, press releases, social media campaigns and stakeholder communications.
Aerial photography was captured alongside the drone video footage, providing additional marketing assets for future campaign use.
One of the most important aspects of the production was the forward planning that took place before filming began.
Several drone flight paths were designed specifically with the final edit in mind. Rather than simply capturing standalone aerial shots, drone movements were carefully planned to create seamless transitions between exterior and interior scenes.
This approach allowed the finished video to move naturally from outdoor activities into classroom environments, creating a more cinematic viewing experience and improving the overall flow of the final production.

Projects like this demonstrate how corporate video production can help organisations communicate complex ideas through engaging visual storytelling. By combining interviews, photography, drone footage and documentary-style filmmaking, businesses and educational initiatives can create content that informs, inspires and delivers long-term value.

When Generation C and Octopus Energy required professional video production and photography to support one of their climate education initiatives, the goal was to create engaging visual content that demonstrated how businesses and schools can work together to inspire the next generation of green talent.
Generation C was created to help address the shortage of climate-focused educational resources available to schools, connecting students with real-world sustainability challenges, future careers and purpose-driven organisations. Through partnerships with organisations including Octopus Energy, Dentsu and NatWest, the programme helps transform climate education into practical learning experiences that inspire future innovators and change-makers.
As lead videographer, photographer and drone operator, I was responsible for capturing the programme through a combination of interviews, classroom activities, photography, cinematic B-roll and aerial drone footage.
