Outcome: Ongoing Event Production Partnership Since 2023
When Actors Pro Expo approached 852 Recordings to film one of the UK's largest events for performers and aspiring actors, the project required far more than simply turning up with a camera.
The brief involved capturing the entire event experience through professional videography, photography, seminar recordings, interviews and promotional content that could be used across websites, social media and future event marketing campaigns.
With approximately 3,000 attendees expected throughout the day and five seminar rooms operating simultaneously, careful planning and professional production management were essential.
As lead videographer and production manager, James (Founder) was responsible for overseeing every aspect of the project, from equipment selection and team coordination to camera deployment, audio recording and final content delivery.
The event officially opened at 10am, but our production team arrived at 8am to begin setup. With seven experienced videographers and photographers working across multiple locations, preparation was critical to ensuring smooth coverage throughout the day.
Before attendees arrived, camera positions were established, tripods deployed, audio recording systems tested and communication procedures confirmed across the team.

One of the most demanding elements of the production involved filming five seminar rooms simultaneously.
Across the event, more than 40 individual seminar sessions were recorded, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. Every session required reliable camera coverage and professional audio capture to ensure speakers could be clearly heard and content could be repurposed after the event.
Managing multiple filming locations while maintaining consistent quality standards required detailed planning, clear communication and an experienced production team.
In addition to seminar coverage, we were tasked with producing a promotional highlight film designed to capture the energy, scale and atmosphere of the event.
This involved filming networking opportunities, exhibition stands, audience interaction, keynote presentations and interviews with recognised industry figures throughout the day.
One of the highlights of the production was interviewing actress Alisha Weir, known internationally for her leading role in Matilda the Musical. Alongside other industry guests and speakers, these interviews helped provide valuable insights and added authority to the final content package.
The production day concluded at approximately 7pm after nearly eleven hours of continuous event coverage.
Following filming, extensive post-production work was undertaken to prepare the final deliverables.
